In a concerning development, illegal drugs are being openly advertised on websites and delivered via Canada Post, akin to the convenience of online shopping giants like Amazon. Despite the high risks associated with these narcotics, online buyers are enticed by the promise of tested and safe delivery.

Social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook are flooded with ads promoting illicit substances, with Meta, the parent company, deriving a significant portion of its revenue from advertising. While Meta claims to employ AI and specialized consultants to combat such ads, the issue persists.

Canada Post, when confirming illegal drug shipments, hands them over to the authorities. The RCMP, through coordinated efforts, is actively targeting individuals and networks profiting from the online sale of illegal substances.

In another incident, a viral video showcasing a family’s struggle with limited legroom on a WestJet flight has sparked debates on passenger comfort and the need for stricter regulations. The incident highlights the airline’s decision to reconfigure seating arrangements, sacrificing passenger comfort for profit.

Furthermore, Canadian airlines face increasing pressure to enhance their services as Ottawa relaxes restrictions on flights from the Middle East. The competitive services offered by Middle Eastern carriers are prompting Canadian airlines to improve their offerings to remain relevant in the market.
