York Regional Police apprehended three individuals following a commercial burglary in Vaughan on Saturday morning. The incident was reported around 2 a.m. in the vicinity of Kipling and Highway 7. According to Duty Inspector Peter Cheung, upon police arrival, the culprits were observed fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Cheung mentioned that despite attempts by the suspect to evade capture, law enforcement successfully contained the vehicle using four police cars. As a result, two police cars sustained damage and are currently inoperable. Additionally, one of the suspects attempted to escape on foot, leading to a brief pursuit before all three individuals were arrested. During the apprehension, authorities discovered a loaded firearm.
Although one suspect required hospitalization, their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, as confirmed by Cheung.
