Public records show that she is now registered as Suri Noelle for voting purposes in Pennsylvania. Suri Noelle, aged 20, currently resides in Pittsburgh and is a student at Carnegie Mellon University. The decision to adopt the last name Noelle appears to pay homage to her mother, Katie Noelle Holmes, known for her role in the TV series “Dawson’s Creek.”
Reports suggest that Suri has had limited contact with her father, Tom Cruise, since the age of seven. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes finalized their divorce settlement in 2012, with media coverage largely portraying Holmes as breaking free from a marriage influenced by the Church of Scientology. Despite expressing a commitment to co-parenting initially, Holmes has predominantly raised their daughter on her own in New York City.
The exact timing of the name change remains unclear. Suri Noelle, who turned 18 in April 2024, was already using the name Suri Noelle when she graduated from high school that same year. She now joins a group of celebrity children who have distanced themselves from their fathers after high-profile divorces. Notably, five of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children have either legally or publicly dropped Pitt from their surname.
