“Les Simpson: Québécois French Version Saved!”

Bell Media has successfully secured a deal with Disney Entertainment to ensure the continuation of the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons.” The latest season, season 36 of “Les Simpson,” will soon be airing on Bell Media’s Noovo television channel and will also be available for streaming on Crave.

Last year, fans expressed their disappointment when Bell’s competitor, Corus Entertainment, decided not to renew the broadcasting rights, forcing French-speaking viewers to resort to watching new episodes in European French. Following an online petition that garnered significant support, Bell Media’s announcement has brought relief to fans who were concerned about losing the local flavor that the Québécois dubbing provided with its incorporation of regional references, politicians, current events, and popular phrases over the past 35 seasons.

The Québécois rendition of “The Simpsons” has always been one season behind the American version, which is currently in its 37th season. For those eager to catch up or revisit previous seasons, seasons one to 35 in Québécois French are accessible for streaming on Disney+. In a heartwarming video shared on Noovo’s social media, Bart and Lisa Simpson joyfully deliver the news in their familiar Québécois French voices, much to the delight of local audiences.
