Tory takes over the position from Jeffrey Remedios, who had been serving as chair since 2021. Remedios commended TIFF and its leadership, expressing his enduring pride in contributing to the film festival’s evolution. Additionally, TIFF welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Deborah Flint, David Furnish, and Daniel Tisch Echevarría. Meanwhile, Asha Daniere, who had served on the board for nine years, is stepping down. TIFF acknowledged Daniere’s dedicated service and thanked her for her significant contributions to the organization.
