Israeli forces carried out separate strikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of at least seven Palestinians, according to medics. Medics reported that an Israeli airstrike killed three individuals and injured three others, including children, in a tent located in the western area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Another strike resulted in the death of a person east of the city, near Israeli military operations.
Later in the day, medics confirmed a man was killed in an Israeli strike at a school housing displaced families in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, another strike claimed the life of an individual in a tent near Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll to at least seven for the day.
The family of 11-year-old Hamsa Housou, who tragically lost her life due to the conflict, shared their heartbreaking story. Housou recounted how he found his niece injured after an Israeli attack, and despite efforts to get her medical help, she did not survive. The ongoing violence in Gaza has left many questioning the effectiveness of the ceasefire.
The Israeli military stated that it was not aware of casualties resulting from strikes in the area on Thursday. The military emphasized that any actions taken post-ceasefire initiation were in response to alleged violations.
In a separate incident, the military confirmed striking a rocket launch site following a failed rocket attempt targeting Israeli territory.
