Bob Cadigan, the former head of the offshore oil industry association in Newfoundland and Labrador, has passed away at the age of 67. He led Noia, later rebranded as Energy NL, from 2008 to 2017. Energy NL praised Cadigan’s leadership during challenging times, highlighting his commitment and enthusiasm for the industry. Known for his strong convictions, Cadigan actively sought to enhance the industry and support its members. He was also recognized for his vision in expanding the international presence of Newfoundland and Labrador’s supply and service sector.
Cadigan, who passed away on Monday, was fondly remembered in his obituary as someone who cherished life and adventure, notably completing a 20,000-kilometre motorcycle journey across North America. Additionally, he served as a municipal councilor in the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove. His funeral is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Outer Cove.
