A duo of Canadian athletes stood on the podium at the women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle World Cup competition in Aspen, Colorado. Megan Oldham from Parry Sound, Ontario, and Elena Gaskell from Vernon, British Columbia, clinched the silver and bronze medals, respectively, while the gold was secured by Great Britain’s Kirsty Muir.
Oldham secured the silver medal with a score of 73.02 in her second run, while Gaskell earned the bronze with a final run score of 72.90. In the men’s event, American Mac Forehand claimed gold with a score of 77.38, followed by Estonia’s Henry Sildaru with silver (75.90) and Norway’s Ulrik Samnoey with bronze (74.64).
The highest-ranking Canadian male athlete was Max Moffatt, who finished in sixth place with a score of 72.71 in his second run.
