President Donald Trump withdrew his request for assistance in reopening the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, criticizing NATO allies for not responding to his plea.

The blockade by Iran at the strategic point between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman has led to a disruption in commercial shipping, resulting in a significant impact on global oil supply, escalating fuel prices, and causing upheaval in the world economy.

In the context of escalating tensions between Israel, the U.S., and Iran, the question arises whether the U.S. has the capability to reopen the Strait independently, why allies are hesitant to provide support, and whether diplomatic solutions rather than military actions are the key to resolving the situation.
