As this year’s Celebrity Big Brother nears the end, the series has been littered with a number of highs and lows to say the least. But it looks as though Chris Hughes’ recent proposal to fellow housemate JoJo Siwa has caused a stir among fans as they felt he was being “weird.”
Their close bond has been evident among viewers for some time but when Chris, 32, offered to father JoJo’s babies, that seemed to be too much for fans to bear. Rushing to make their feelings known, viewers inundated X with their comments.
Chris’ offer came after a group task which saw the housemates dress up as cats. Prior to his comment, JoJo had been engaged in a conversation with Donna Preston and told her she would love nothing more than to take her children on holiday.
Donna told the YouTube influencer: “You have to take these holidays, take these dreams, do what you want to do as well.” JoJo then replied: “I wanna have babies and take them on holiday.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Donna responded by jokingly saying: “There you go. Pop a couple out, babe. Chris is available.” And it was at this point Chris overheard his name and asked what they were talking about. Bringing him in on the conversation, JoJo explained she was talking about having babies.
And without hesitation, Chris said: “We’d have babies together. [I’d be just] the dad. I have good swimmers. I had mine checked.” Despite the fact JoJo is in a relationship, she continued the conversation by adding that she would inform her future kids on how “we decided who the father was.”
And while the conversation was taken lightly, the same could not be said for the viewers if their comments were anything to go by. One person said: “i’ve grown to love jojo and her friendship with chris but some of the things that’s happened between them is not normal in a friendship imo.”
Another person wrote: “Chris and Jojo is getting weird….. Jojo needs to save herself and move away from him he’s giving me weird energy (personal opinion) #CBB #CBBUK something is off….” Meanwhile a third person commented: “Chris and Jojo will be babies and it’s going to be uncomfortable isn’t it #CBBUK #CBBLL.” A fourth said: “Chris would very much like to have babies with JoJo #CBBUK.”
“jojo said she wants babies and someone said chris is available and chris said like oh id have ur babies and said she has great eyes HELP,” added a fifth. A sixth person chimed in: “The fact chris is alright with giving jojo some babies just shows where his mindset at #cab #cbbuk.”
On Thursday, fans were left fuming once again after Chris told her she turned him on following a memory game. The nature of the game was to recall a list of groceries with each person adding to the list while being tasked with memorising the list in the correct order.
When JoJo impressively recalled a long list of items Chris told her: “That was impressive, a big turn on that.” The entertainer, who identifies as gay, asked Chris to repeat himself as she misheard him. And he wasted no time in repeating himself.
Once again, X was set alight with comments about their conversation. One person wrote: “Did Chris just say Jojo remembering the list in the game they’re playing is a big turn on?”
And a second person commented: “Chris is being too much now.”
Meanwhile a third said:”nah chris is so weird with jojo on my lorddddddd.”
