An Amazon Fire tablet, lauded by customers as ‘flawless’, is now available with a £70 discount in the retailer’s latest sale. The price of the Amazon Fire Max 11 has been cut to just £179.99, a 30% reduction from its usual £249.99 cost.

Billed by Amazon as its ‘most powerful’ tablet, this device provides a budget-friendly option for those in need of a new gadget for web surfing, video and music streaming, among other things.

The wallet-friendly tablet boasts an 11″ screen filled with 2.4 million pixels, delivering crisp, vibrant images whether you’re indulging in a TV show marathon or gaming. The Fire Max 11 features a slim aluminium body that’s ‘as thin as a pencil’ and fortified with strengthened glass, while Amazon asserts it’s ‘three times as durable’ as the 10th-generation iPad.

With 64GB of storage, it offers plenty of room for all your favourite apps, songs and photos, while the 128GB model is also discounted to £219.99, down from £289.99. Fitted with 8MP front and rear cameras, each model is perfect for video calls and 1080p HD video recording.

The Fire Max boasts a robust battery that can last up to 14 hours, making it ideal for both home and on-the-go use, and includes a fingerprint sensor for extra security, along with access to a plethora of books via Kindle and Audible apps.

For those seeking an affordable tablet, Sky Mobile also provides premium models without any upfront payment, instead spreading the cost over time for those willing to make a long-term commitment. You can also opt for the new 11″ iPad Air for £17 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE for £15, with the latter also throwing in an AI Book Cover Keyboard and Galaxy Buds FE worth £238.

However, Amazon’s Fire Max 11 has garnered a staggering 1,800 five-star reviews, earning it the title of Amazon’s ‘best-ever Fire tablet’ according to the Express. One satisfied customer exclaimed: “Wow, very impressed for the price.

“I’ve had several Fire Tablets in the past that were useful but clearly on the budget side of things. The Fire Max is a big step up in performance, screen, and build quality, but still cheap as chips, especially if bought on a deal. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, provided you can live with the locked-down nature of the device.”

Another user praised: “Best Amazon Fire tablet ever. This is my third Amazon tablet, having had the two previous 10″ models, I decided it was time to get a newer model as mine was feeling a bit slow and sluggish. Wow, what a tablet.

“It is ultra-thin but with an all-metal case rather than a plastic shell and it isn’t much heavier than my previous model. The 11” screen is crystal clear, with ultra-bright, sharp detail due to the much higher resolution screen and with the newer processor and more memory, it is super fast compared to my older model, and it also holds its charge for so much longer.”

Another delighted customer shared their experience: “A superb tablet. Easy to set up. Lightning fast. Streaming image quality is flawless, and the sound is just like surround sound – I’m honestly not sure which is better, the built-in speaker sound or headphone sound. Bluetooth connected virtually instantly. All in all I’m rather annoyed at myself for not getting one of these sooner.”

Despite raving about the product, the same buyer did point out a downside in spite of their five-star review, remarking: “The only negative I can see, is the lack of crossover with my Windows anti-virus software.”
