“Summer Antique Fair Guide: Top Markets Across Canada”

Summer is the ideal time to explore Canada’s outdoor and seasonal antique fairs and markets, whether you’re an experienced collector, a thrifting enthusiast, or simply seeking a fun road trip adventure. These events attract numerous reputable dealers, offer a carefully curated selection of goods, and cater to both casual browsers and serious treasure hunters. Some markets even provide extra attractions like on-site food trucks to enhance the shopping experience.

Here are eight antique fairs and markets that should be on your summer itinerary:

1. Aberfoyle Antique Market:
Located just south of Guelph, Ont., the Aberfoyle Antique Market is touted as the largest of its kind in Canada. Open every Sunday until Oct. 25, this market features over 100 vendors offering collectibles, furniture, folk art, and more. Additionally, there are two Saturday Special Shows each year with over 150 vendors, with the next one scheduled for Sept. 19.

2. Old Strathcona Antique Mall Parking Lot Sale:
The Old Strathcona Antique Mall in Edmonton hosts a seasonal sale in its parking lot on several summer days, rain or shine. Visitors can explore vintage treasures outdoors in addition to the mall’s indoor vendors. The upcoming sales are scheduled for July 12, Aug. 3, and Sept. 7.

3. Saugeen Shores Antique & Collectible Show:
With a history of 48 years, the Saugeen Shores Antique & Collectible Show will take place on July 18 and 19 at the Southampton Coliseum in Southampton, Ont. Over 80 vendors will be selling vintage clothing, jewelry, advertising signs, furniture, and more.
