The Toronto Tempo are gearing up for their inaugural season in the 2026 Women’s National Basketball League, which kicks off on May 8. Their first game will be against the Washington Mystics at the Coca-Cola Coliseum, marking one of the three opening matches in their 44-game schedule announced this Wednesday.
Negotiations are currently ongoing between the WNBA players and the league for a new collective bargaining agreement. Pending the agreement, the Toronto team is slated to play the majority of their home games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum. However, they will also host three games at the Scotiabank Arena, the home venue for the NHL’s Maple Leafs and the NBA’s Raptors.
The Phoenix Mercury is set to visit the Scotiabank Arena on June 27, followed by the Minnesota Lynx on July 30, and the Indiana Fever led by Caitlin Clark on August 18. Additionally, the Tempo will have two games at the Bell Centre in Montreal, facing Dallas on July 10 and New York on July 12. They will also play two games at Rogers Arena in Vancouver against the new expansion team Portland on August 21 and the reigning champions Las Vegas on August 23.
