A tragic incident occurred in Laval, Que., where a six-year-old girl lost her life following a multi-vehicle collision on Route 335, prompting her immediate transfer to the hospital on Monday evening. The Service de police de Laval (SPL) reported that eight other individuals sustained injuries in the same accident.
According to Laval police, the collisions occurred between Dagenais Boulevard and Saint-Saëns Street around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, possibly exacerbated by the day’s snowfall.
Authorities are currently in discussions with a 40-year-old man, identified as a crucial witness in the case. Updates on his situation will be provided by the police shortly.
Urgences-santé revealed that among the victims rushed to the emergency room, five were found unconscious, including a five-month-old infant, a child, and three adults. Meanwhile, four other individuals suffered injuries, although their conditions are reported as stable.
The circumstances surrounding the tragic event are presently under investigation.
