Durham authorities seek public assistance in locating a missing Pickering woman who was last seen earlier this month. Police disclosed that 61-year-old Rosetta disappeared on December 1 in the vicinity of Douglas Avenue and Radom Street. Constable Nicholas Gluckstein stated that there is no information on her possible whereabouts or direction of travel.
Rosetta is described as a white woman with a medium build and dark brown hair. She was last spotted wearing a black toque, a long black trench coat winter jacket, black pants, black and white shoes, and carrying a light-colored purse or tote bag. While Durham police did not reveal her medical background, they indicated that she is considered vulnerable.
Law enforcement officers have conducted extensive searches in the area, reviewed surveillance footage, and utilized drones in their search efforts. Although her frequented locations were not disclosed, police have checked known spots and interviewed witnesses. Gluckstein mentioned that there is no evidence suggesting she left with someone or spoke to anyone specific, leaving uncertainty about her current location.
Durham police have informed neighboring law enforcement agencies about her disappearance, emphasizing the urgency of the situation for both investigators and her family. Individuals with any relevant information are urged to reach out to Durham police promptly.
