The presale for Beyonce’s highly anticipated Cowboy Carter has kicked off but Ticketmaster can’t handle the demand it seems.

Lucky fans with a presale code can now bag tickets for the Texas Hold ‘Em singer’s latest tour before the general sale takes place on Valentine’s Day. However, just minutes on from the tickets being released at 12pm, it’s been reported Ticketmaster has crashed.

“AIN’R NO WAY TICKETMASTER CRASHING FOR BEYONCE WHEN IM 100 PEOPLE AWAY,” one member of the Bey Hive has fumed on Twitter (X). “IM TRYNA GET THESE BEYONCÉ TICKETS AND THE QUEUE NOT MOVING TICKMASTER CRASHED ON US WTFFFFF,” another fumed, with a third asking: “Is it me or has Ticketmaster crashed!?”

“Beyoncé ticket queue ain’t moving. What’s going on @TicketmasterUK,” one desperate fan pleaded with the distributor. Another raged at Ticketmaster: “how can i be unable to select beyonce tickets because you guys are unable to reload the map to select seats omg @TicketmasterUK.”

However, as of 12.37pm, Ticketmaster say “tickets are still available” and the queue “is moving along as fans checkout”. “We always advise fans to make sure they only use one tab, clear their cookies, and do not use any VPN software on their device,” a spokesperson for the company said.

The presale runs from today until Thursday, with Beyonce’s BeyGood foundation continuing “its work of helping communities with programmes in entrepreneurship, scholarships, disaster response, including helping those affected by the recent wildfires in the Los Angeles, California area”.

Beyonce announced she will return to London for four dates later this year, after finally winning the album of the year Grammy Awards earlier this month. The US superstar will return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June, as part of her Cowboy Carter tour which is also raising money for those affected by the California wildfires.

The dates have been announced as June 5, June 7, June 10 and June 12 for London, with her series of shows also set to make stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, Paris, Texas, Houston and Atlanta this year.

During her Grammy speech on 23rd Februart after winning album of the year, Beyonce alluded to her previous misses for the prize, saying it had been “many, many years”. She had previously failed to secure the prize with 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce, 2013’s Beyonce, 2016’s Lemonade and 2022’s Renaissance, before taking home the prize in California for her chart-topping country album Cowboy Carter.

She also dedicated the gong to Linda Martell, a groundbreaking country performer who became the first black woman to play at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and who features on the record. Beyonce also won the best country album Grammy as well as the country duo/group performance award for her song featuring Miley Cyrus, titled II Most Wanted. She has extended her lead as the most decorated artist in Grammys history with 35 awards.

The singer last performed in the UK in 2023 on the Renaissance World Tour, which saw her play five dates at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
