Peel Regional Police are currently looking into two separate incidents of arson that occurred overnight on Sunday in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario. The first incident occurred in the vicinity of Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue W, where officers responded to a fire call around 12:30 a.m. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
Meanwhile, in Mississauga, a neighbor reported seeing flames from the exterior of a house, prompting a call to Mississauga Fire. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, extinguished the fire, and safely evacuated the occupants from the residence.
In a different location, Peel police responded to a vehicle fire around 1:30 a.m. near Queen Street East and Rutherford Road. The vehicle was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported in this incident.
Both cases are currently under investigation as arson; however, authorities do not believe the two incidents are linked.
