Popular restaurant giving away free meals for Mother’s Day – but there’s a catch

A popular high street restaurant chain will be giving away free meals this weekend to mums to celebrate Mother’s Day. The Italian chain Prezzo has launched the “Mamma’s Day” offer – alongside the menu – on March 26 and will run until Saturday, March 29.

The offer is available at all Prezzo restaurants and lets mum enjoy two or three courses from the Mother’s Day set menu alongside the purchase of a drink. However, there is a major catch.

To get the freebie for your mum, you will need to be one of the first two customers in your local branch that day, as only two mums claim it each day. The majority of Prezzo restaurants open between 11am and 12pm – but you can check the opening hours of your local restaurant on the chain’s website.

You’ll need to say “Mamma Mia” to your server upon a rival to redeem the deal. Prezzo’s Mother’s Day menu features a range of favourites, including spaghetti carbonara, bolognese, crab and lobster ravioli, Mediterranean sea bass, and Tuscan beef and mash.

Its famous pizzas are also part of the deal, including its meat lovers pizza, spicy pizza, and goat’s cheese and roasted peppers pizza. The Mother’s Day menu includes starters such as oven-baked king prawns and pancetta mac and cheese bites, and desserts include hot chocolate fudge cake, tiramisu, and honeycomb cheesecake.

The Motehr’s Day menu lets you get two courses from £25 and three courses from £29.50 – although there are some more decadent options which will cost you a little bit more. This includes the Tuscan beef and mash, which is an extra £3 on the offer. You can add any two sied for £8 and treat yourself with two-for-one cocktails from 8pm.

The offer will not be offered on Mothering Sunday itself, with the restaurant, saying that the offer was for those who couldn’t make the big day themselves. A spokesperson for the restaurant chain said: “The first two lucky families through the door to say ‘Mamma Mia Menu’ to the server will receive a free meal for mum.

“The offer is running between Wednesday 26th and Saturday 29th March – a perfect plan for those that can’t make the big day itself. Prezzo have families covered!”

They added: “Don’t miss out on this limited time offer to treat the mum in your life to a memorable dining experience.”

The offer is only available at Prezzo restaurant sites, so sadly, you will not be able to claim the free meal for delivery. For those celebrating on the day, Prezzo is giving mums dining in the restaurant a free glass of prosecco.

Alongside the free fizz offer, mums who dine at Prezzo on Mothering Sunday will receive a £10 voucher to come back anytime to enjoy a quiet coffee and a slice of tiramisu. If you’re an adult wanting to celebrate mum this weekend, then you could also bag yourself a free glass of Sparkly.

According to the restaurant’s website, if you book and arrive by 11:30am on Mothering Sunday, all the adults in your party can grab a free glass. This Mother’s Day offer is available at all Prezzo restaurants across the country except its Aberdeen and Glasgow branches.
