“Health Canada Recalls 104K Oster Toaster Ovens”

Health Canada has announced a recall of 104,195 toaster ovens in Canada due to a burn hazard. Consumers are advised to discontinue the use of Oster’s French door toaster countertop ovens as the French doors may close unexpectedly, posing a risk of burns to users. The affected models include TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDGDS, TSSTTVFDXLPP-033, and TSSTTVFDDAF-033, with the model number located on the oven’s backside and original packaging.

Although no injuries or incidents have been reported in Canada as of September 22, the U.S. has documented 95 reports, with over 1.2 million units of these toaster ovens sold. Health Canada has instructed consumers to contact Sunbeam Products Inc. for a complimentary repair kit, including installation instructions. The impacted products were sold between January 2015 and July 2025.
