In June, Canada will face Uzbekistan on the 1st in Edmonton, with one more opponent yet to be revealed. The team, led by Jesse Marsch, will also have a friendly match against a European team in Montreal on June 5 or 6 as part of its final World Cup preparations. The World Cup journey for Canada will commence on June 12 with a match against a European qualifier in Toronto, followed by matches against Qatar (ranked 56th) and Switzerland (ranked 18th) on June 18 and 24 respectively in Vancouver.
Tunisia, currently ranked 47th in the world, earned a spot in the World Cup through a dominant performance in the African qualifying group, remaining unbeaten with a record of 9 wins, 0 draws, and 1 loss. On the other hand, Iceland, ranked 74th, failed to secure qualification after finishing third in its European qualifying group with a record of 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss.
