David and Victoria Beckham have been the nation’s sweethearts since the 90s, when they first crossed paths at a charity football match. Since then, they’ve amassed an impressive property portfolio and businesses worth millions, thanks to David’s successful football career and Victoria’s fashion empire post-Spice Girls.

The power couple are also proud parents to four beautiful children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. While they maintain a London residence, estimated to be worth £31 million, their sprawling £6 million Cotswolds estate is a secluded haven for the family.

But it’s not all smooth sailing in the countryside as the Beckhams have ruffled some feathers among their neighbours with plans to build a new barn. The England legend is seeking planning permission for an “agricultural storage barn for hay/straw and agricultural equipment”.

Angry villager Harriet Jones has told West Oxfordshire District Council in a letter of objection: “This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake. Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense.”

Becks, who turns 50 on May 2, already keeps bees and chickens at their rural retreat, which comes complete with a spa, swimming pool and tennis court. Inside, the opulent country residence boasts a sprawling kitchen, a stylish yet snug lounge, open fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed wooden beams, and a woodfire oven.

With every luxury you could imagine, we took a sneak peek inside as they await the verdict on their latest planning application…

The family’s idyllic barn is just a stone’s throw from the idyllic Soho Farmhouse and a quick 7 miles from Chipping Norton.

There’s character dotted through the home, including the dark exposed beams and a tartan carpet. Not to mention the large selection of candles, which no doubt add to the tranquil vibe.

Their gorgeous abode has featured prominently in their smash-hit Netflix series, showcasing their glitzy life, including their chic country lounge.

The rustic glamour of the place is captured perfectly by the exposed brick walls and a dark green cabinet, brimming with an array of glasses.

A snapshot of the mansion revealed a luxurious marble fireplace where Cruz could roast chestnuts on an open fire – a perfect spot to unwind away from London’s hustle and bustle.

In their sprawling garden, they have an Estonian sauna that features a steam room for the ultimate place to recoup.

In 2021, Romeo gave fans a glimpse of the stunning swimming pool at the family’s Cotswolds home while spending quality time with his girlfriend Mia Regan.

This peek into the living room showcased floor-to-ceiling windows that drenched the room in natural light. The wooden floor was arranged in a geometric pattern, and the room boasted a variety of furniture pieces, from a gold-rimmed glass coffee table to a straw-backed chair.

Their kitchen has an large woodfire pizza oven so they can make fresh Italian food without having to leave their countryside haven – perfect for any Beckham party too!

Giving a glimpse into their Christmas festivities, one year, Becks showed off their dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a large wooden table to fit all the family.

The whole family, including Cruz, make the most of their sauna, along with the outdoor hot tub for the perfect reset.

As well as a family football pitch, they also have an outdoor tennis court, which was said to have been built specifically for Romeo and cost a whopping £30,000.

Becks is fond of his animals and keeps bees in the garden.

He’s also kept busy with his chickens!

The picturesque countryside makes it the perfect spot to head out for walks with their adorable pooches.

Ahead of Christmas 2020, the Beckhams transformed their large barn into a winter wonderland. The space featured dark wooden floors adorned with Persian-style carpets and a breathtaking chandelier hanging above the lengthy dining table.
