In Professional Women’s Hockey League action, Montreal Victoire secured a 1-0 victory over Vancouver Goldeneyes, with Ann-Renee Desbiens making 26 saves for her third PWHL shutout. Nicole Gosling scored the lone goal for Montreal, marking her first of the season at 12:17 of the second period. Vancouver’s Emerance Maschmeyer recorded 25 saves in the game.
Meanwhile, the Ottawa Charge defeated the Boston Fleet 2-1 in a shootout, courtesy of Katerina Mrazova’s decisive goal. Fanuza Kadirova and Brianne Jenner also found the net in the shootout for Ottawa, while Hannah Brandt and Jamie Lee Rattray responded for Boston. Susanna Tapani and Jenner scored in regulation for Boston and Ottawa, respectively.
Tapani opened the scoring with her fourth goal of the season early in the first period, with Jenner equalizing in the third period. Aerin Frankel stopped 17 shots for Boston, while Sanni Ahola made 31 saves for Ottawa.
