The popular line from the TV show “Heated Rivalry,” where a character says, “I’m coming to the cottage,” is set to turn into a real travel opportunity for fans. The lakefront property featured in the season finale of Crave’s popular hockey romance series “The Cottage” will soon be available for bookings on Airbnb.
Known as the Barlochan cottage, this three-bedroom retreat located in Muskoka Lakes, Ontario, has captured the attention of fans ever since its appearance in the episode. Protagonists Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov spend a transformative summer at the cottage, where they share intimate moments and open up about their feelings, families, and future together.
With stunning floor-to-ceiling windows and picturesque lake views, the cottage has become synonymous with intense conversations and unforgettable experiences. Beginning March 3 at noon ET, guests can reserve weekend stays at the cottage until May for $248.10 Cdn per night, a tribute to the jersey numbers of the main characters: 24 and 81. Summer bookings starting from June 1 will have pricing details announced later.
The property owner, who chose to remain anonymous, collaborated with Airbnb to make this listing possible. To commemorate the opening of the Barlochan cottage to guests, Airbnb will be making a donation to the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka, a charity supporting underprivileged children in the region. The exact donation amount was not disclosed.
