Peel Regional Police have announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with a deadly shooting that took place in a Brampton mall parking lot earlier this month. The suspects, two 20-year-olds from Brampton and a 25-year-old from Toronto, are now facing first-degree murder charges in relation to the incident.
The shooting, which resulted in the death of 25-year-old Jaskarn Dhaliwal of Brampton, occurred on December 8 near Shoppers World on Main Street. The police reported that multiple shots were fired during the incident, and the perpetrators fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Following an investigation into the shooting, the three accused individuals were taken into custody, and Peel Regional Police have confirmed that they are not seeking any additional suspects. Authorities stated that they believe the shooting was an isolated event and reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for bail hearings. Initially hesitant to disclose the victim’s identity, police later revealed that the victim was Jaskarn Dhaliwal upon further inquiry.
